Students undertake one or more writing exercises, e.g. drafting opinion letters or research memoranda, approximately 4,000 words, (exclusive of bibliography and footnotes). This add-on may only be used once, in the final year of study, and typically, permission is only granted for the final term, with the permission of the Associate Dean (Academic). Graduate students must also attain the approval of the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies). The project must relate to a course successfully completed in a previous term and must be supervised by a Faculty instructor with expertise in the area.
