How to Apply
Congratulations to the spring 2016 MPA graduates!
The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Master of Public Administration (MPA) is part of the
School of Public Administration (SPA), which is part of the College for Design and Social
Inquiry (CDSI). The purpose of the MPA program is to provide professional education for
leadership and management by offering a broad-based core curriculum that covers the essentials
of both leadership and management in social, economic, and political contexts. Hence, the
mission of the FAU MPA program is to provide intellectual, analytical, technical, and practical
education to advance the state of knowledge in public administration and to enhance ethical
public service values within our service region.
The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) Commission
on Peer Review and Accreditation originally accredited the FAU MPA in 1986 and re-accredited
the program in 1993, 2000, 2007, and 2014.
For any questions regarding the Master of Public Administration degree program, please contact

Special Announcement
Congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Rosalyn Carter, who is retiring at the end of the Spring
2016 semester. Dr. Carter served for many years as dean of the College for Design and Social
Inquiry and as professor in the School of Public Administration. As founding dean of CDSI,

her faculty colleagues, community partners, and university administration. We will all miss
Rosalyn, and wish her the best for a happy, fulfilling and well-deserved retirement..
