Sinks & Wall Protection – Non-laboratory areas
All sinks shall have a solid surface material behind the sink and behind any equipment (such as soap
dispensers or paper towel dispensers) that hang near the sink and may become wet. In a bathroom,
ceramic tile is preferred for these wall surfaces in new construction or renovation. In areas other than
bathrooms, where a sink is located along a wall, the wall shall be protected with a solid surface material
equal to the type supplied by Wilsonart Gibraltar. The counters are to be totally homogeneous surface
without any fillers or laminated to other sub-materials.
Window Sills
All window sills shall be a totally homogeneous surface without any fillers or laminated to other submaterials.
