In my current position as the Nobel Peace Circle's Chair for Human Rights, I enjoy
remarkable flexibility in the organization of my work, as my obligation to be present

III. MOTIVATION LETTER (600 word limit)
My motivation in being appointed as a Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of
unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights is twofold; one
general and the other specific. The general motivation comes from my general
aspiration to make practical contribution towards the realization of full promotion and
protection of human rights for the People as an African national, while the specific
motivation is generated by both my related studies background and my approach on
how we can stand-up to promote an era of respecting human rights in our world as
the Nobel Peace Circle's (non-for-profit do/think-tank & a UN Global Compact
Academic Member) co-chair for Human Rights and as a fellow for Sudan Case in the
Non-Killing Center in the United States. Moreover, it is generated by the language of
the renewed mandate of the Technical assistance for the context of negative impact
of unilateral coercive measures in the field of human rights, in a paragraph of the
Human Rights Council Resolution 27/21 which states " To study trends, developments
and challenges in relation to the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on
the enjoyment of human rights, and to make guidelines and recommendations on
ways and means to prevent, minimize and redress the adverse impact of unilateral
coercive measures on human rights" and that is core belief of my own to carry out
this responsibility. Also to bring my human rights advocacy experience into action as
the founder of the Child-Friendly Human Rights Digital Library My Right...My Life in
coordination with Harvard School of Law and UNESCO, as the first ever child-friendly
digital library on the issue of the human rights. I authored the Child-Friendly Text of
the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Child-Friendly
Text of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the Child Friendly-Text of the
United Nations Protocol To Prevent, Suppress And Punish Trafficking In Persons,
Especially Women And Children (Palermo Protocol), the Child-Friendly Text of the U.N.
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW),
and the Child-Friendly Text of the U.N. Disability Convention (Draft 13 – September
2007). As a human rights activist for many years, I have involved with the United
Nations, participating in human rights marathons in the Middle East, U.S. and Europe.
I helped translate and distribute tens of thousands of copies of the United Nations
Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 2 different languages in Sudan. Asked why I
so passionate about human rights, I responded, "Human rights awareness is
everyone's responsibility." In summary, I consider my background in international
human rights law, with specific expertise in the Sudan case coupled with my
commitment to uphold and develop the 'Preventing human rights policy as clear
motivation to be appointed to this mandate.
Last but not least, I founded an initiative titled "The Global Day to Fight Human
Trafficking." I'd like to note that I' am the co-founder of the Human Trafficking
Victims' Clinic in Sudan as the first ever specialized human rights research unit focus
on the Sudanese people rights and the promotion of the right of victims to get legal
and social support. I am familiar with the Code of Conduct, the Manual of Operations
of the Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council, and it's Rules of Procedure. I
