What measures are being taken to tackle the problem of discrimination and in
the area of national legislation ensuring legal protection against direct and
indirect discrimination on the basis of age, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual
orientation, nationality etc.?

the aim of addressing currently existing discriminatory provisions in the
Japanese relating to children born out of wedlock, in particular regarding the
acquisition of nationality, inheritance rights and birth registration?

