ADVANCE QUESTIONS TO EL SALVADOR – ADD.1 SLOVENIA With regard to sexual and reproductive health, we noted that abortion is outlawed under all circumstances, even for medical reasons or in case of rape. We would be interested to learn whether there are any discussions underway to decriminalize abortion for the above-mentioned reasons? We noted the concern of the CRPD about the discrimination against persons with disabilities in accessing health services, about the fact that medical procedures were conducted without free and informed consent of persons with disabilities, and that the law permitted the forced sterilization. We would like to ask which measures the Government of El Salvador intends to adopt in order to eliminate discrimination against disabled persons in accessing health, in particular with regard to those medical procedures were an informed consent of persons with disabilities is needed. We would welcome more information on the set up of a comprehensive policy to assist and prevent children from living in the street.
