Addendum
1.
In conformity with articles 28–34 of the International Covenant on Civil and
Political Rights, the thirty-fourth Meeting of States Parties to the Covenant will be
convened by the Secretary-General at United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday, 24 June
2014.

The curricula vitae of 10 candidates received by 21 March 2014 are reproduced in
document CCPR/SP/85 and two candidates received after the deadline of 22 March 2014
are reproduced in document CCPR/SP/85/Add.1

Attached to the present document are the curricula vitae of the candidates for the
regular election proposed by Italy and Chili after the deadline of 22 March 2014.
List of additional candidates nominated by States parties for the
regular election

In accordance with article 30, paragraph 2, of the Covenant, the Secretary-General,
in a note verbale dated 21 January 2014, invited the States parties to submit, in conformity
with articles 29 of the Covenant, their nominations for the regular election of nine members
and the by-election for one member of the Committee within two months, i.e., by 21 March
2014.

Pursuant to article 30, paragraph 3, of the Covenant, listed below, in alphabetical
order, are the names of two further nominees for the regular election and the State parties
that nominated them. Biographical data (curricula vitae) on the nominees, as furnished by
the States parties concerned, are contained in annexes I and II to the present document.

Current position/function: Full Professor of International Law, University of Trento
(Italy). He currently teaches two courses: a general course of Public International Law and
a course (in English) of Human Rights Protection in International and European Law at the
Trento School of International Studies.

Deputy Prosecutor at the Juvenile Court in Milan (1972-1975); Judge (Civil and Criminal)
at the Tribunal of Milan (1975-1983);
Associate Professor of Int.l Law at the Univ. of Urbino Law School (1983-1986);
