“Within the limits established by … the University Senate … the faculty
of a college shall determine the educational policies of that college …
academic requirements, curricula, course offerings, undergraduate,
graduate and research programs, professional programs, and service
functions, to the extent ... not been delegated to a ... department faculty.”
Its Authority to Establish Rules and Committee Structure for its Function
“The faculty of each college shall establish its own rules, including a
committee or council structure, necessary for the performance of the
faculty's functions in educational policy- making … copies of the rules
shall be … filed with … the Senate Council.” (GR VII.A.4.b)
