For your test on “Changing Earth”, you should
know the following concepts:
 4 layers of the Earth: Be able to label the and describe each layer
(including Convection Currents).
 Tectonic plate movements: Be able to name, describe, and draw an
“arrow diagram” for each of the 4 different types.
 Effects of plate movements: Be able to describe the different changes to
Earth’s surface that occur (ie: landforms, earthquakes)
 Continental Drift Theory and Pangea
 Tremors, Earthquakes, and Tsunamis: Be able to describe what they are
and the damage they cause, depending on where they occur.
 Volcanoes: Be able to name the 3 types of volcanoes, and list
characteristics of each.
