Spring Fundraiser- March 18
Our annual SPRING FUNDRAISER is just around the corner -- March 18th to be exact -- and we need
your help NOW to put together a great night. See below for opportunities to help out the committee:
We need help soliciting! Please reach out to anyone you know that owns a business and ask for a
donation of a product, service or gift card. These donations are tax deductible and it really isn't that hard
to do. Contact Jeri Fitzgerald at fitzie95@aol.com for more details.
Baskets are the key to our success! Now is the time to donate any NEW unwanted holiday gifts to be put
into baskets. We are also in need of medium to large size baskets and containers. Contact Madalena
Lima at madalenamlima@yahoo.com to arrange drop off.
Get free admission! Journal Ad submissions for the spring fundraiser are now being accepted. Now’s the
time to reach out to those businesses that would help support our event. If you bring in $200.00 in journal
ads, you will be admitted to the spring fundraiser free of charge! Please contact Jeri Fitzgerald at
fitzie95@aol.com for more information.
HELP FILL THE BASKETS FOR THE HILLSIDE SPRING FUNDRAISER!
Each year, the PTA hosts a Spring Fundraiser for the Hillside Community. It is our largest and most
popular event of the year. Typically, there are over 150 baskets filled with different items, such as gift
certificates to local merchants and restaurants. The baskets are broken down into three categories;
Regular, Grand and Super Grand. There is also a 50/50 raffle. It is a fun-filled evening.
We need your help:
1. Donate an item that we can use to put together a basket.
2. Get together with a group of friends and create your own basket to donate. Restaurant gift
certificates and electronics make great baskets.

Box Tops
The Box Tops Contest continues with Mrs. Wallock’s class keeping their lead with 582, followed by
Ms. Fox’s class with 430 and Ms. Butler’s class with 414. Not far behind with over 300 Box Tops
each are Mrs. Ciuffreda’s, Ms. Celebre’s, Mrs. Dugan’s, and Mrs. Volk’s classes. But no one is out
of it yet, there is still plenty of time to send them in! Remember, the class that collects the most Box
Tops by February 18th will win a bagel breakfast with Mrs. Pilchman!
If you happen to be in the school, be sure to check out our great Box Tops display featuring sample
participating products. You can find a complete list of participating products on the PTA website
under “Events & Programs”, or by clicking here:

We also made a video that shows how you can make a difference:
http://www.boxtops4education.com/share/makeadifference/default.aspx?vid=1569
If every student in the school sent in just 25 Box Tops, we could collect 10,000, which would mean
$1000.00 for our school. Every little bit helps, so please send them in today
