The Ryerson Centre for Immigration and Settlement is proud to present the following: Syrian Crisis and the EU Migration Policy Dr. Agnieszka Weinar Thursday, February 4th 2016 1:00 – 3:00pm The Syrian refugee crisis is the biggest challenge the EU has faced since the fall of communism in 1989, and the biggest humanitarian crisis on European territory since the Balkan war of the early 1990s. It is a great test not only for the EU migration policy, but also EU as a project. In this presentation, Dr. Weinar will place the current crisis in the context of the EU migration policy, discussing both internal and external aspects.
