Assignments:
To start, you will work on the Final Cut Pro tutorial, the Motion
tutorial, or After Effects Tutorials. When you are finished, you will
spend your time:
 Planning a project (you must complete 7 projects for the
semester)
 Working on a project, either filming or editing; if you leave to
film, you need to return to class before the end of class and
show evidence of your field work
 Working in the studio
 Creating your Weebly blog
 Using Internet to learn more about broadcasting or to look at
other high schools’ work
 Experimenting with software or other equipment to create
something new and/or fun\
 Fundraising
Projects:
Your projects must be of a quality high enough to run on biweekly Greyhound Exclusive Television (G.E.T.) Your stories
should fall into the following categories:

Weebly Blog:
Your Weebly blog is intended to be a place for you to communicate
your video creation process and critique your own work.
Video Production
1. Create a Weebly.com page with a professional production
name for your site
2. Send me your URL
3. At minimum, you need a home page, video page, blog page and
contact page.
4. You must blog after every video project. So once the video
is complete, upload to Vimeo, embed into Weebly, and blog
about the good, the bad and the ugly of that particular
video.
5. After that, you can blog as much as you want and add pages
if you want. Design is up to you.
Exploring the Internet:
Here are some great websites to explore video projects:
www.schooltube.com
www.vimeo.com
http://www.manestreamnews.com/
Fundraising: As with yearbook and newspaper students, GNN students
need to fundraise to help for the cost of special equipment,
repairs, contest entry fees and organization affiliations. Students
are required to raise at least $50 per semester towards production
costs. This may be done in the following ways:




Finding a corporate sponsor for GNN
Selling ads for the Globe (proceeds to be split between
Globe and GNN)
Creating a video project that can be sold at a profit
Participating in some other form of fundraising
Grading Policy

You will also grade and assess the quality of the daily and
weekly show
