It is a story of love gone wrong tangled up in an intense bout of writer's block. A scene doesn't go by without a taste of Eno's quirky brand of humor, and unique perspective on the world. Will Eno describes it as "a play about the difficulty of love, the difficulty of being human, of making art". The Flu Season was first produced in 2003 at the Gate Theatre in London, England. Will Eno is an American playwright. He has written a number of plays including The Flu Season, Tragedy: a tragedy, Kid Blanco and THOM PAIN. The Flu Season won the Oppenheimer Award and his play THOM PAIN was a finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer Prize in drama. The Dwarfs is an autobiographical account of Pinter’s youth. The play brilliantly captures young men in all their pride before society closes in and squeezes the life out of them. The ambiguities of loyalty and betrayal, classic Pinter, weave their way through the lives of three young men in 1950's Hackney, East London. The Dwarfs was first written as a novel and then adapted as a radio play. It was first performed on stage in 1963 at the Arts Theatre Club. Harold Pinter is a native of England where he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Central School of Speech and Drama. He has written numerous plays, sketches and screenplays throughout his career including The Dwarfs, The Lover, Ashes to Ashes and The Homecoming which he received a Tony Award. He was also named the 2005 Nobel Laureate in Literature. Jennifer Tarver is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she received a BA in drama. She went on to attain her MFA in directing at the University of Alberta and her bachelor of music in performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Tarver has directed for York University, the Royal Conservatory of Music, Queen of Puddings and Theatre Direct. She is also the founder of Theatre Extasis and was the recipient of the 2006 Pauline Mcgibbon Award Camellia Koo is a Toronto based set and costume designer. She has previously designed for three of the Ryerson Theatre School’s shows and has recently designed the sets for Singkil and The Sheep and the Whale (Cahoots/Modern times/TPM).
