This is a large class but you are not a small part of it! To make our time together as valuable as possible, we both have to
work hard at it.
The following basic principles may give us some guidelines.
-
Every student has the right to learn as well as the responsibility not to deprive others of their right to learn.
Every student is accountable for his or her own actions
In order for you to get the most out of this class, please consider the following:
Coming to the class
-
Attend all scheduled classes and arrive on time. Late arrivals and early departures
are very disruptive and violate the first basic principle
If unable to come to the class within 15 minutes of the start of the class, students will wait until break in 2 hour
class.
In the 1 hour class, students will not come in the class if they are more than 10 minutes late of class start time
In the class
-
During the lecture, no phone use to text or search internet except for the activity which require the students to
search the internet and instructed by the instructor
During the lecture, use the laptop just for making notes
During the lecture, if using laptop then students are encouraged to sit on the side or at the last row of the
classroom so not to disturb the fellow students by screen activity

During the lecture, full attention is on the lecture
During the lecture, students are encouraged to raise hand if any question or concerns
