PLANNING POLICY INTERN

Reporting to the Manager of Policy, the successful candidate will assist the Planning Staff with research and
analysis, cataloging background research materials, data mapping and analysis, and contributing to the
development of the consultation process. The Department is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual with
excellent interpersonal skills who can work both independently and in a team environment. The successful
candidate for this position will perform a combination of office and field work duties.







Enrolled in a Graduate or Undergraduate Post-Secondary Program in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban
Geography or other related field
You possess strong organizational and communication skills
Excellent computer skills are essential and experience with GIS is preferred
Strong research, analysis and writing skills are require
Possess a valid (unrestricted) Ontario “G” driver’s license along with a vehicle for use on corporate business
(mileage compensated)
The successful candidate will be asked to provide proof of insurance
RATE OF PAY: $15.50 to $18.00/ hour
