Globally, humans reacted to the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) (22-18 ka) in different ways. In Siberia, there were clear shifts in technology and social
organization. Dr. Buvit will discuss the environmental conditions of the LGM in the Transbaikal region, then describe the archaeological evidence for
how humans coped in one of the most challenging places on Earth during one of the most disruptive times in the history of our existence.
