Explanation
In this class we will learn about other people, places, times, and events. How you look at the world
around you depends in part on who you are as a person. Completing this poster will allow you to
identify some things about who you are to others and, more importantly, to yourself.
Task
1.
Attach a photo of yourself to the center of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. The photo should be
fairly recent (not a baby picture) and clearly show your face (not you in a group of 20).
2.
Orient your paper in Portrait format (this paper is oriented in Portrait).
Write your full name (first and last) in large letters at the top.
3.
Write the category and answer to each of the following on your paper:

favorite sport or extra-curricular activity
>
favorite type of music or band
>
favorite movie, TV show, or website
>
favorite book or magazine
>
future occupation
4.
List only one specific answer for each category - two things can’t BOTH be a favorite; (don’t put
“Favorite Music: I don’t know” or “Favorite Music: Rap and Country”)
5.
Write all information large enough to be easily seen from at least 5 feet away.
6.
Be neat and creative – use color, graphics, etc. to make your poster as attractive as possible!

Credit
None of your answers can be “wrong” because they are subjective, which means they are opinions (no
right or wrong answer). The grade you earn will be based on your effort and how closely you follow the
directions. As long as you follow the directions you’ll start our class off with an A+!
