Explanation
In this class we will learn about other people, places, times, and events. How you look at the world around you
depends in part on who you are as a person.
Task
1.
Attach a photo of yourself to the center of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. The photo should be fairly
recent (not a baby picture) and clearly show your face (not you in a group of 20).
2.
Write your full name (first and last) in large letters at the top.
3.
Write the category and answer to each of the following on your paper:

favorite sport or extra-curricular activity
>
favorite type of music or band
>
favorite movie or TV show
>
favorite book or magazine
>
future occupation
4.
Be sure all information can be easily seen from at least 5 feet away.
5.
Be creative – use color, drawings, graphics, etc. to make your poster as attractive as possible!
6.
Be sure to write what each item is; e.g. “Favorite Sport: Hockey”
7.
Be sure to list only one specific answer for each category; don’t put “Favorite Music: I don’t know” or
“Favorite Music: Rap and Country” (two things can’t BOTH be a favorite!)

Credit
None of your answers can be “wrong” because they are subjective, which means they are opinions (no right or
wrong answer). The grade you earn will be based on your effort and how closely you follow the directions. As
long as you follow the directions and actually do it, you’ll start the class off with an A+!
