Provide more practice more
practice exercises and
encourage students to work in
groups. Encourage them to
acquire the software on their
own computer for the benefit of
allowing them more practice
outside of the classroom. Also,
provide current and adequate
software in the Computer Lab.
This standard was
accomplished.

1. Develop a Web Page
Means: Display a Web Page consisting
of specific objects, such as, font types,
and images, placed at a specific location
on the web page. Criteria: At least 70%

this task according to a pre-assigned
rubric. The student was limited to 2 lab
periods to perform this task.

with Adobe Flash
Means: Students were asked to modify
and add external and internal links
specific elements to a web page provided
by the instructor. They were also

4. Integrate Adobe CS4
Web Premium
Means: Students were asked to insert a
Photoshop image into a Dreamweaver
document; create a Photoshop document
and import it into Flash; and insert and
edit a Flash movie in Dreamweaver. A
web page file was provided to the
students from the instructor. Criteria: At
least 70% of the students should be able
to perform this task according to a preassigned rubric with an approximate 2
week time limit constraint.
Sixty-four percent of the
students were able to
accomplish the correct and
completed Web Page in
accordance with the rubric.
A larger percentage of the
students who did not meet
the criteria had difficulty
with Flash.

5. Create a Website using
Adobe CS4
Means: Students were asked to create a
web site of their own choosing depicting
a subject matter that they were
interested. The site was to include an
integration of Dreamweaver, Flash, and
Photoshop. Criteria: At least 70% of the
students should be able to complete this
project starting from the second week of
the semester and completed by the end

students were able to
provide a completely
working web site according
to the instructions. Those
students who are not part of

and groups, but do their own
assignments. Provide more

computers or the appropriate
software. Those Web Sites that
did not have all of the elements
mentioned in the rubric were
considered as incomplete.
Future measurements will
consist of each task separately.
Assign a grade of the progress
of the student’s project in
increments according to a timeline. Make it mandatory that the
student discuss the proposed
project to the class and the
instructor throughout the
semester. Acquire current
software for campus computer
lab.
