Applications for 2016 are Now Available!
Giving back to the community and investing in the future of agriculture are two
fundamental philosophies of Western AgCredit. One method Western AgCredit has
implemented to adhere to these philosophies is a diverse scholarship program. In
addition to awarding 4-H, FFA, and other collegiate scholarships, Western AgCredit is
offering four-$1,500 scholarships to customers and/or their children.
In order to qualify for Western AgCredit Customer Scholarships, applicants must meet
the following criteria:





Applicant must be a borrower or child of a of bona-fide Western AgCredit borrower.
Borrowers are defined as someone either with a principal balance or a current note
having available commitment.
Candidates can be a high school senior or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college
during the year of application.
Scholarships can be used at the school of their choice, (i.e. college, university, or
trade school) to begin or continue their education as an underclassman (graduate
students are ineligible).
The $1,500 lump sum will be paid upon receipt of proof of enrollment at the school
of choice.
Prior winners can apply, but no one can receive the scholarship more than three times.
In order for applications to be considered, they must include the following:





Completed application
High school transcript (If attending a college/trade school, please also include
transcript from current institution.)
250-500 word essay on assigned topic
Signatures of parent/guardian and applicant
Up to two letters of recommendation (optional)
Applications for the scholarships are available by calling Sarah Buttars at (801) 5719200, via our website at www.westernagcredit.com, or from your local branch office.
Completed and signed applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2016.
Winners will be notified in writing by April 30, 2016. Those selected will be required to
submit a high quality photo.
