Welcome to First Grade
I am so delighted to have your child
in our class this year! It was nice
meeting all of you at Open House.
I can’t wait to get to know you and
your child as we take a journey
together in your child’s education
this year.

Please
This year, First Grade will
be ordering Scholastic
News Magazines for the
classroom. This is a great
way to learn about science
and social studies. Your
child can also go onto the
website at home and play
skills-based learning games,
print activity lessons and
more. We ask that each
student pay $6.50 for this.
This amount covers the
entire first grade year.
More information will come
home with your child this
week.
If you would like to order
Scholastic books for your
child to have at home,
information is being sent
home this week. You do not
have to order books – this
is different from our class
magazines.
PTO Reminders…
be sure to bookmark our CCE PTO
website: www.coddlecreekpto.org. Also,
you are invited to attend the monthly
meetings the first Friday each month at
7:30 am in the cafeteria.
Save those Box-Tops for upcoming
collections in September.
Spelling Words will be coming home on August 28th.
