NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents,
This week we will be learning about Native Americans and discussing
the story of Thanksgiving. In literacy, we will read Animal Babies in
Grasslands. We will focus on the comprehension strategy predict
and the comprehension skill main idea. In phonics, we will learn
about Noisy Nick’s sound and shape and Golden Girl’s sound. In
math, we will be making patterns while creating our Native
American necklaces and headbands. We will also work on pattern
shapes and counting by 10s.
CLASSROOM INFORMATION
On November 19, we will have a short Thanksgiving play in the
cafeteria at 7:45 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend! On
November 20th, we will have a Thanksgiving feast in our classroom
for the children (this will not take the place of lunch).
Please be sure to sign up for a conference to discuss your child’s
progress if you have not done so already. I look forward to meeting
with you soon.
