In pairs, choose ONE Greek god to study in depth. It can be a major Olympian god or a minor god.
The two of you will delve deep into the characteristics of this god and become an expert on him/her.
Discuss which is your favorite with your partner. Use resources such as library books, our mythology book, and the Internet to aid your understanding of the god. You and your partner will create a book based on the god and a five-minute class presentation (at least). You will include the following in your book and presentation:
Bio Poem
Concrete Poem
Comic strip (at least 9 frames in b/w or color)
Story about god’s adventures in present day Virginia (4 paragraphs at least)
One genre of your choice (see bottom for examples)
Project may be typed or handwritten. Must be stapled together in booklet form using 8x11 sized paper and 1 inch margins. Books will be presented in an “Oprah Show,” “Judge Judy,” “Jeopardy,” or any fun style of your choosing.
I will grade your project on the book, the presentation itself, and each member’s level of participation.
Rubric is on the back.
Extra creativity is always rewarded!
