Upcoming Events
Judy Jordan moved to approve the March 2015 minutes; Hope Linske-Rice
seconded.
 Winter Guard-the group struggled this season; will have a meeting to discuss
what worked and what didn’t to determine where to go next year.
 Solo & Ensemble-the festival was held this past weekend and the results will
be announced soon.
 Pit Orchestra-finished this past weekend.
 Baltimore Band Trip –heading out on Monday, we have a tight schedule; back
around 3:45 pm.
 Marching Band Recruiting-new Football calendar is out we are playing a
number of Fairfax teams next year. 1st game happens before school starts. 2nd
weekend of November is the last game. Marine Corp competition is the last
weekend in September; show is Labyrinth
 May Concert-May 15th at 7:30 pm; Band Boosters should welcome the parents
as we did last year.
 June 6th-Marching band clinic 9 am-3pm
 June 18 is graduation at 9 am; approximately 1.5 hours.

Volunteers
 Kelly Ferrell will send an email to parents requesting pictures to print for the
8th grade band parent meeting prior to the May concert.
Hospitality
 Mr. N will print the pictures and place on a science fair-like board.
Communication
 Judy created a flyer for the band parents of 8th graders.
 Packet for marching band will be sent to Judy from Mr. N.
 Band Tunes for May is due soon.
Summer Band Academy
 36 students enrolled so far. Summer school will be at Potomac Falls HS this
year so this may pose some issues with space.
