What is "Rounding”?
Rounding means reducing the digits in a number while trying to keep its value
similar.
The result is less accurate, but easier to use.

Example: 73 rounded to the nearest ten is 70, because 73 is closer to 70 than to 80.
How to Round Numbers
Step 1: Underline the digit in the rounding place. Look at the digit to the right.
round up
Step 2: Compare this digit to 5.
Step 3: If this digit is 5 or more, add 1 to the rounding place. If this digit is less than 5,
do not change the digit in the rounding place.
round down
Step 4: Change the digits to the right to 0.
For example: Round 235 to the nearest hundred ___________
