Dear Faculty and Staff:
We are looking for a group of diverse individuals to join PEER for the 2016-2017 school year and seek your assistance
in selecting qualified individuals.
Individual students should possess the following qualifications:
 Be a rising 11th or 12th grader
 Positive role model
 Enjoy working with younger (Elementary/Middle School) students
 Willing to discuss adolescent issues with other students
 Show concern for others
 Have a good rapport with peers
 Be responsible, trustworthy, perceptive and alert
 Work independently
 Have age appropriate coping skills
 Have regular attendance to class
 Have good academic standing
 Have acceptable discipline
Candidates will potentially have the opportunity to work with elementary, middle, and high-school aged students.
Training will be provided to students during PEER class time.
If you know of individuals who might be interested and qualify to become a PEER helper next year, please list them
