IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
December 2—Progress Reports
December 3—LES first Family Game Night of the year.
Beginning at 5:00 P.M.
December 9—Early Release Day!
Classroom Needs:
Glue Sticks and hand sanitizer.
This week in School:
Math: We will begin our unit on fractions. This week we are learning how to add and subtract
fractions with common denominators and uncommon denominators.
Reading: Our story of the week is Passage to Freedom from our reading book. We will also be
reading leveled readers to go along with the story in guided reading groups.
Skill: Authors purpose.
Grammar lesson: possessive nouns
Writing: Revolutionary War topic probe will be due on Friday, December 4th, 2015.
Science: This week we are learning about the skeletal and muscular system.
Social Studies: States of the week:
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Homework for week of 11-30-2015
Math: fraction problems from text book.
Log onto Moby Max or Sum dog and practice math skills.
Wordly Wise: Monday 6A, 6B, Tuesday 6C, 6D, Wednesday and Thursday Narrative.
Spelling: practice words for test on Friday.
Social Studies: Re-read Scholastic News at home (We read it together in school) and complete
test on the back cover by Friday.
