If you have not done so already please remember to send in a baby picture of your child for the yearbook. The PTO will scan it and return the photo. Lakeshore’s book fair is this week. The book fair is open to families on Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Reading game night is on Thursday from 5:00-6:00. P.M. Come with your children to enjoy fun reading games. IMPORTANT REMINDERS: March 7-11—Book Fair March 8th—Chick Fil A Night March 10th—Reading Fun Night from 5:00-6:00 followed by Family Night Book Fair from 6:007:00. March 16th—Early Release Day March 28-April 3—Spring Break Yearbook are now on sale. This week in School: Reading: The children will be finishing their Civil War web quest on Monday in school. We worked on it last week during Daily 5. You child may have to complete it on Monday for homework if they do not complete it in school. This week’s story is Jane Goodall's 10 Way to Help Save Wildlife. Genre: Expository nonfiction Skill: Fact and opinion Grammar Lesson: main and helping verbs. We will not have a Wordly Wise lesson or Spelling words this week. We will be working on Ecosystem vocabulary and a reading skill pack to go along with our story. Math: We are starting our unit on Algebra. Science: We are learning about Ecosystems. Social Studies: We are learning about the Civil War. Writing: Our next probe will be on a Civil War topic from the web quest page. It will be due on Friday, March 11th, 2016. Homework for week of 3-7-2016 Math- Variables and Expressions practice. Fraction practice on Study Island. Reading-Skills pack that goes with Jane Goodall's 10 Way to Help Save Wildlife. Science-Ecosystem vocabulary. Study science definitions for 15 minutes a night.
