Letterland: Silent Letters: kn, wr, mb, igh
Students will learn words with the Vowel
Team igh in which the Vowel Man (Mr. I)
says his name (light, bright). The h and t
are silent. kn- as in the word knot or
knight. The k is silent, while Noisy Nick
says his sound which is /n/. wr- as in the
word wrong. The w is silent, while Red
Robot says his sound which is /r/. mb- as
in the word thumb. The b is silent, while
Munching Mike says his sound which is /m/.
*Social Science: We will begin learning about
Christmas around the world in other
countries.
Math: Fluently add/subt. Withion 20 using
mental strategies.
