You will write a narrative poem based on your independent reading book.
Writing from the point of view of the protagonist, highlight the important events of your novel and
incorporate them into an 8 stanza poem that gives readers an insightful understanding of your book.

Tell the story of what happens in the book.

Poets use many tools to write effectively. Consider incorporating some of the poetry concepts we have
learned:

-rhyme scheme
-rhythm
-figurative language
Additionally, poets revise many times to perfect their work, so your poem should be something that you revise
and edit to ensure that you are turning in your best work.
