Dear Select Chorus Parents and Students,
Welcome back to school! In a continuing effort to provide the students with
multiple opportunities to learn and grow, SRMS will have its first Select Chorus this
year! This after-school activity requires hard work to better improve your student’s
musical education. Due to the high musical skill demands, there will be auditions for
a spot in Select Chorus. Not everyone who auditions will make Select Chorus. All
rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:25-4:20 (with a few
exceptions). On the second page, you will find the Select Chorus calendar for this
school year. Please mark these rehearsal and concert dates on your calendar. All
Select Chorus Members must attend all rehearsals and concerts to become and
remain a member. If there is a sudden emergency or death in the family, please
notify me as soon as possible before the rehearsal by email. I encourage you to
check all dates before allowing your child to audition to check for any conflicts!
Please turn in this permission form in to me no later than Monday,

Select Chorus Audition Permission Form
2015-2016
__________________________________________________ (student name) is allowed to stay after
school to audition for the SRMS Select Chorus. All auditions will end by 4:20.
Circle a first and second choice of which day your child can stay after school. Next,
the students sign up for an audition time slot in the chorus room (M-2). There
are a small amount of before school audition times. Timeslots for auditions are
on a first come, first serve basis. They are 5 minutes in length.

Audition results will be posted Friday, October 2nd in the Chorus room. Not
everyone who auditions is guaranteed a spot in Select Chorus.
