My name is Sojourner Truth I was born in 1797. Married to Thomas and had a total of five kids. I soon became a
Christian after running away and began preaching. I soon became a feminist and was fighting for women’s rights. I died in 1883.

I died today on November 26, 1883. I have been buried in
Battle Creek, Michigan. I have been known for my amazing speeches and my attack on the fair ness of women’s rights.
This country has lost one of its remarkable people.

It is 1851 and today I gave my fiery speech about woman’s rights in the state of Ohio. This is one of my many famous speeches, and I am really proud of myself.

I became a feminist in 1844 after I arrived at the
Northampton Association.
My slave owner just told me that in 1827 NY would start to free slaves.
He said that if my husband, kids, and I all worked really hard that he would free us a year before. When it came time to free us he refused forcing me to run away with my infant daughter Sophia.
