Create a Laundry Poster
In addition to completing 2 loads of laundry (sort, pre-treat if necessary, wash, dry,
fold, & put away) at home students will create a laundry poster on an 8x12 piece of
paper to hang in your laundry room.
The purpose of the poster is for you to have a “cheat sheet” to remind you of the
steps of doing laundry at home. The poster can be computer created or created by
hand but it must be visually interesting with at least 2 graphic elements
(different fonts, pictures or borders), color and correct spelling and grammar.
The information must be summarized from what you have learned about laundry,
not copied from the class handout. This poster must include the following
information:





Information on sorting the laundry
Information on treating stains, or avoiding laundry mistakes
Information on using the washing machine
Information on using the dryer
Information on folding and putting away your laundry
The poster may be created in Microsoft Publisher, Word or Powerpoint or you may
create it by hand but it must be very neat and within the paper size guidelines.
