Geographic Regions Tourism Poster Project Names of TEAM MEMBERS: ___________________________________________ Name of the REGION: __________________________________________________ Miss Jean, a travel agent at AAA, is hosting a contest for middle school students to design a poster to promote eco-tourism around the United States. You and your teammates will randomly draw one of the eight geographic regions out of a hat. Your team goal is to persuade tourists to plan a vacation/trip to the region you got. Miss Jean will be judging the competition and will choose a first, second, and third place poster that will be displayed through photos online. To win the contest, you not only need to follow the rubric below (as this is also a graded assignment for Miss O. and Mrs. Sassak’s classes), but your poster must be the VERY BEST! CORRECT/EXCITING: Have you ever wanted to see a bald eagle soar above the clouds? Have you ever wondered what the spray of a spouting 140 foot geyser felt like on a cool day? You can experience both by visiting Yellowstone National Park in the glorious Rocky Mountains region! Why your region is the best! – 15 points TOTAL = 50 points If you are not sure of what a particular part of the region means, refer back to the RUBRIC page!
