Eutrophication (a process)
--always slow moving water
--increased nutrients added (usually nitrogen)
--then algae bloom (looks like green slime)
--in an algae bloom fish like it—then they die
Decomposing fish need bacteria which need O2 which use up the O2 that the
animals need. But animals need oxygen if they don’t have it they die. The area becomes a ‘dead zone’.
