General information on attire:
Dress for graduation is the same as for Baccalaureate.
Tassels are worn into the ceremony on the left side. No
decorating of caps. Everyone must wear casual dress shoes;
No flip-flops will be permitted. Guys must wear long pants and
socks. Each senior needs to label the inside of your cap with
your first and last names, and iron your gown if needed.

BACCALAUREATE
Seniors will practice until you “get it right”. Do not make
plans to leave before noon on June 10th. If you want to
be dismissed early, please keep quiet, pay attention, and
7-8 pm
follow directions.
The Cove Church
197 Langtree Road, Mooresville
This is a non-denominational service at which inspirational
speeches are delivered to the graduating class. Songs presented
by the chorus enhance the service. A reception following
provides a special time of friendship and fellowship. Students
should dress for church with boys wearing shoes and socks, no
flip-flops. Casual Dress shoes are required for all students.
Please have your caps, gowns, and stoles with you.
GRADUATION EXERCISES
LNHS Stadium
GRADUATES ARRIVE AT 7:15am!
The senior class photo will be taken at 11:15am in the Football
Stadium or Gym if raining. (Early Grads please meet in the
commons at 11:00am). Individual cap & gown pictures will be
taken 8:30-2:00 in Aux Gym.

SENIOR AWARDS CEREMONY

If you are unable to attend rehearsal, notify your
counselor or Mrs. Chenard in the Guidance Office.
Actions During the Ceremony
Please ask your parents and guests to respect the dignity of
the graduation ceremony. They should NOT bring food, drink
coolers or noise makers to the graduation ceremony. Guests
may need cushions for comfort. Guests shall not yell, shout,
call out names, or make noise while graduates’ names are
being called. Keep in mind that the next graduate called
wants to hear their name. Help us ensure all understand and
accept your wishes for a dignified, special graduation.
Additionally, graduates may not yell or call out as their
friends’ names are called. Mr. Gentle will instruct seniors at
the appropriate time to toss your caps.
ARRIVAL
There will be handicapped parking only for vehicles that
display a state issued handicap tag on the car. You can park in
those areas with the state issued tag.
Overflow parking will be available at Lakeshore Middle School
and Berea Baptist Church. Please do not park on the sides
of Doolie Rd as it is a Tow Zone. Please check the parking
layout on the website. Shuttle buses will run between
overflow parking lots starting at 7:00 am.
FREE GRADUATION PICTURE: Strawbridge Studios will
take a complimentary photo of each graduate with the principal
on stage during graduation. Pictures will be available in the
front office after June 20th.

OPTION 1:
Delay in hourly increments if weather is
expected to clear that morning. Updates will be sent through
ConnectEd, Twitter, Facebook, and posted on the school

expected to continue, but will clear by the evening.

GUIDE
12, at 2 pm, if weather necessitates canceling all
possibilities for Saturday, June 11th.
We do not have a viable option for conducting graduation
exercises indoors.
Seniors will receive their diploma cover
only on stage!
After graduation ceremony: Seniors will report to
their homeroom where they will be given an envelope
containing their diploma. You will then be………...
OFFICIALLY GRADUATED!
TRANSCRIPTS
A final transcript will be sent to the college
indicated on the senior survey. Transcripts will go
out as soon as grades are posted. It will take about
3 to 5 days for the transcripts to be processed and
sent to the colleges. If you have changed the
college that you put on the survey, you must
contact the Guidance Office to indicate the
change.
