First Grade News
Happy 4th quarter! It is hard to believe our first graders are well on
their way to becoming second graders. This last quarter will be
very busy as we continue to learn and grow in first grade. As our
weather gets warmer, we will certainly take advantage of outdoor
recess. Some mornings are still chilly, so please make sure your
child has appropriate gear for going outside.
Math
Students will wrap up their
unit on money. Please
continue to have your child
practice counting money at
home. We will then
work on graphing and
measurement.
Content
Students will begin their
unit on plants. As we begin
to see flowers growing this
spring, take the time to talk
with your child about what
makes each flower unique.
We will then start our unit
on Force, Energy, and
Motion.
