-Class AgendaReading – We are continuing our novels novels this week in our reading groups. Also, we
are practicing our summarizing in preparation of the DRA’s.
Word Study – New words this week
Writing – We are going to focus on finishing our persuasive letters to King James. Once the
they finish their letters we will create an product advertisement to go along with reading.
Students will pick a product that they want to advertise. They can choose to do either a
poster advertisement or a scripted commercial that they will perform in front of the class
live. Their advertisements must include the four types of sentences, imperative,
interrogative, exclamatory, and declarative. They will also have to create one fact and one
opinion sentences.
Math – Division Unit. Continuing with our long division and dividing a crossed zeros and
remainders. Also, start to practice division word problems.
Reflex Math and Dream Box should be complete at home at least once this week.)
Science – Solar system unit. Students are finishing their cooperative planet Powerpoints
and will present next week. We will have the Earth, Sun, and Moon quiz later on this week.
