American Education Week
Classroom Wishlist
Thank you to everyone who has been sending in
items for our classroom to use! We are still in
need of some of the following items:
 Sandwich baggies
 Expo markers
 Sticky notes
 Pencils
American Education Week began in 1921 as
an effort to raise America’s literacy rate after
WWI. It now serves as a special opportunity to
showcase what schools do. This year, American
Education week runs from November 16th – 20th.
The fourth grade will host a visitation day on
Monday, November 16th. Please plan to come in and
join us for part of our morning here at school.
Please send in the RSVP if you plan to attend and
also mark your lunch choice if you plan to eat with
us. The RSVP will help us to plan for those that
are able to attend.
This year, we welcome you to come in at
11:25 to participate in a social science lesson with
us. Then you are also invited to stay for lunch at
12:10, if you would like to eat with your child.
We hope you can join us!
Technology Focus
This month, the students will learn how to use powerpoint and create a brochure. They will also be learning
how to research using search engine skills. Thank you so
much for your continued support of the Learn2Earn
reading incentive program. In lab, the students will
practice math concepts using both IXL and IReady
programs weekly.
I want to thank you for coming in to
discuss your child’s progress and
goals for the year. It was great
meeting with you all.
Ms. Rawls
