Rawls’ 4th Grade News – October 2015
News From 4th Grade
It’s that time of the year when we
schedule a time to meet to discuss your child’s
adjustment to 4th grade. At the meeting, we will
talk about social and academic progress, and
review the report card. Please bring any
questions you may have about routines, grading,
report card, adjustment, etc… and I will do my
best to answer them.
At Back-To-School Night, many of you
signed up for a conference. This year, the
Conference Schedule is on
www.signupgenious.com. You should have
received an email invite to the site this past
week. Thank you to those that have signed up
already. I will be sending reminders home in the
Friday Folder next week for anyone I have not
heard from. If you have a conflict with the
proposed times, please email me and I will
reschedule with you.

Technology Focus
This month, the students will continue to use the
Promethean Board in daily lessons. Thank you so much
for your support of the Learn2Earn reading incentive
program. The program has proven quite motivational. I
am thrilled to see so much reading and writing
happening! Please continue to encourage students to log
their nightly reading. In lab, the students will practice
math concepts using both IXL and IReady programs
weekly.
Finally, I would like to thank you all
for your support this past month! It
has been a pleasure working with you
and your child so far this year! I
look forward to discussing your
child’s progress and goals at our
parent teacher conferences.
