Prof. Anna P. Della Valle Biography From 2000 to 2009, Dr. Della Valle taught the required full-year sequence in economics in the Masters of International Affairs program at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. During the summers 2007-2013, she taught Economics for Public Policy at the School of Government of Peking University as part of the Executive Public Policy Training Program for senior-level Chinese government officials. From 2010 to the present, she is associate professor at LIUC University where she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. From 1991 to 2001, Professor Della Valle held positions as adjunct professor at Columbia and New York Universities where she has taught the following courses: Principles of Economics, Topics in Public Economics, Microeconomics and Public Policy Analysis, Industrial Organization, and Statistical Methods. From 1984 to 1998, she held positions as senior analyst and senior consultant at National Economics Research Associates, an economic consulting firm where she was responsible for managing domestic and international projects involving microeconomic analysis in the electric, telecommunications, and media industries. Dr. Della Valle holds a BA in mathematics from McGill University and MA and PhD degrees in economics from Columbia University. Her current research interests are in the field of cultural economics/economics of the arts with a focus on methods for improving the economics of the performing arts and heritage preservation through private/public partnerships.
