• Agenda Mates – Students will briefly note what homework is
assigned. Read these nightly to keep abreast of what your
child is doing and to see if there are any schedule changes.
• Green Folders– Check these nightly to support your child’s
efforts at school, and to see if there are notices, and to
discuss your child’s work with him/her.
• Binders– Contain vocabulary for our units of study. Students
may begin learning the expected vocabulary before it is
introduced in the classroom.
• Thursday Mail – Notices will be sent home each Thursday.
• Homework is given as reinforcement of school work.
 If there is an absence, I can send work home with a sibling or have
it available for you to pick up. E-mail me before 10:00 a.m. if you
would like this option.

Ways Parents Can Help
• Chat with your child about school.
• Have discussions with your child
about the book he is reading.
• Review vocabulary and spelling
words.
• Review math facts.
• Review content vocabulary daily –
not just the night before a test.
7/24/2016
Health Concerns
• Please make certain all medication goes
through the clinic. This includes cough
drops.
• Children will have a mid-morning snack
time during school. Be sure you are
providing a nutritious snack and that it
contains no nut products in any form.
See the list of suggested snacks.
