essentially yours. Write your name next to the Photo IMG_# in the big packet Mr C has in class.
Download a high resolution JPG version of the image from the Earthkam image website (At the bottom of the photo
page, choose Original, JPG size). Left click the image link at the bottom of the image page. After it opens, right
click it and “save as.” You should keep the name the same, as it has your timecode as its filename.
Open a new document in MS Word. Click the “INSERT TAB” …PICTURE…and navigate to where you saved it.
Select your image that you downloaded to your home computer or H drive at school.
Once you have inserted the picture, double click on the photo. You should now see the “Picture Tools” Tab. Click on
Wrap Text and choose “Behind text” option. You can also drag the corners of your image to make the size more
attractive.
Switch over to the “Insert Tab” and use the “Shapes” and “Text Box” tools to add your annotations.
Use colors and symbols that show up well on the color of your photo. Your annotations should be neat and
attractive.
When you are finished, save with your name as the filename and email it to me or (optional) print it out in color.
Photo paper works best!
a. You can email it to me if you do not have a color printer. Either emailing it or printing one is fine.
b. If it is too big to email, bring it in on a flash drive or a cd-r.
c. If you need a blank cd, I’ll be happy to give you one. I can also give you a sheet of good quality photo paper
for 25¢, but remember, this is optional. Ones that are printed look great in the hallway and in your
portfolios.
