This is your tool to know what is expected of your child the next day in class. Homework is an extension of school and it reviewed the next day. Please make sure homework is completed each night and returned the next day. Your help with this is very important. If homework is not completed or returned the next day it will be highlighted in the agenda and/or recorded on their weekly sheet sent home in Friday folders. Communication: Communication is an important part of the school community. If it is a sensitive matter or needs immediate attention send in a written note with your child. Please reserve email for simple things like advance notice of not being able to make a volunteer time or about an upcoming party. We are unable to discuss sensitive matters via email. Recess: Recess is probably your child’s favorite part of the day. We will go out everyday weather permitting. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather so they are comfortable outside. During inclement weather we will have indoor recess in our classroom. It will involve games and activities we don’t normally have on a regular basis. “Moveable Monday” Implementation Plan: “Moveable Mondays” will be used in all elementary schools this year to offset the disproportionate number of Monday’s missed throughout the year. When a Monday is missed, the Monday schedule will run on a subsequent day of the week. Example: Monday, Oct. 12, 2014 (Columbus Day) we will have our Monday schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 13 followed by the regular Wednesday – Friday schedule. *This plan will not accommodate schedule adjustments due to inclement weather days.
