Navigating New Media

How do new media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, etc. help
scholars make an impact with their work beyond the academy? In what ways do new
media challenge the work of scholars? Do new media affect student expectations for the
learning environment?
Conducted by a scholar of new media studies and pedagogy, this workshop will discuss
how you might better leverage new media to enrich your teaching, research, and/or
service. Bring your laptop, tablet, or mobile device—this will be an interactive session!
Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. with the session starting at 12:00 noon.
