The CWU Forensic Anthropology Field School starts June 13 and ends June 27, 2016.
Class meets 8:00 AM-3:45 PM each day. Students must enroll in both Anthropology 414 (6
credits) and Anthropology 415 (4 credits). The combined 10 credit field school provides
practical experience in the appropriate recovery and handling of human remains by excavating
a mock crime scene and laboratory methods of forensic anthropology through analysis of cold
cases.
Pre-requisites: Anthropology 315 Forensic Skeletal Analysis and Anthropology 310 Biological
Anthropology Research AND permission of instructor. An advanced human osteology course
substitution may be permitted; please contact instructor. Once accepted you will be given a
pin number to register for the courses. Acceptance or denial will be sent by email.
