Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) offers current UofL students the opportunity to network with alumni at events, qualify for SOAR scholarships and develop leadership skills.
The University of Louisville hosts over 300 student organizations covering a wide variety of student interests. These groups provide a wonderful opportunity to become involved in campus life and to connect with other students on campus. If you do not see a group that you are interested in you can always form your own organization. The Student Activities Department oversees all Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) on campus and assists with the formation of new groups, leadership training, new member intake and the planning of numerous campus events. The staff is available to consult with individuals and organizations to help them succeed and get involved. Come to the Student Activities Center W310 and we can help you find your niche!
This past November we launched an online data based system to the entire Student Body.
OrgSync originated a year ago at UofL through the Cultural Center. During the spring semester we began adding all of the Recognized Student Organizations to the OrgSync data base. Through
OrgSync, each student organization is part of its larger campus community. OrgSync empowers student leaders with the ability to more effectively manage their organizations. Organizations are able to, among other things: manage organization records, store and share important documents, communicate with members, plan and publicize events, track service hours and meeting attendance, collect dues, and significantly reduce paperwork.
Individually, each student has his/her own personal involvement feed making it much easier to stay informed and up-to-speed on activities and events occurring within the organizations they are part of. OrgSync centralizes each student's information, allowing them to more effectively manage their organization memberships and track co-curricular involvement.
