Summer Survival Kit
To have a safe and fun summer, don’t forget to bring along the following items:















Sunscreen- Choose one with a SPF of 15 or higher that also contains avobenzone (Parsol 1789),
ecamsule, zinc oxide, or titanium dioxide; and reapply every 2 hours
A Watch- to monitor the amount of time in the sun
Hand sanitizer
Sunglasses that block UV rays
Hat with a wide brim
Plenty of water
Lotion
Car games
Disposable camera
Snacks
Cell phone for emergencies
Magazine or book
GPS or map
Insect repellent- follow the manufacturer’s instructions
Extra clothing-to protect skin as much as possible against the effects of the sun or insect bites
