DAVID CHARD PhD
Dean of the School of Education and Human Development,
Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Chard holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Oregon and a B.S.
degree in mathematics and chemistry education from Central Michigan University.
Dr Chard’s research and teaching interests are in the instruction of early literacy and
mathematics skills for students at risk of school failure.
