Project Presentation and Background
1.1. Problem Statement and Motivation
Describe the problem and state the issues that need to be addressed by you or by your
team during the course of the project to solve the stated problem.
Describe the Project importance relative to the affected target. This could be a specific
person or a targeted group such as a user or a population, respectively.
Finally, state your motivation for participating in the project.
1.2. Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes
State the goals and general purpose of your project. Then state the objectives related
directly to the goals of the project which should be specific to how the goals will be
achieved. Finally, state the outcomes of the project which should include the expected
results after completing the project.
1.3. Literature Review
In this section, describe the method used for the selection process of the proposed
project. Present a historical review of what was done related to your project and
establish relationships with different works and your own. Select references that are only
relevant to your work. The references used could be journal articles, books, conference
proceedings, government or corporate reports, thesis and dissertations, specialized
magazines, and other sources including newspapers and the Internet after verification.
All references should be cited correctly in the references table.
2.
Methodology and Implementation
This section should include theoretical studies, mathematical formulation of the problem
and mathematical solving, experimental set up required (if any), and method of analysis.
3
The developed methodology and process should meet the needs of the project by taking
into account the size, complexity and duration of your project.
2.1. Schedule Plan
The proposed method should be a key component to sufficiently complete the project
within the assigned budget and time schedule, the sample of the project time schedule
could be presented but not limited to as seen in the bellow schedule.

2.2. Design and Material
You would present here the justification of your main design concept you want to follow,
the calculations utilized to achieve the size and quantity of the required material. Finally,
establish a bill of quantity (BOQ) list for the selected materials to be used in the project
and present as shown in table (Tab. -2), bellow.

2.3. Budget
In this section, the total amount of financial resources allocated for the project (if any)
should be noted. The resources should include costs for implementing the project over a
specific period of time, starting from the project as a concept until the finished working
prototype. This includes costs from the preliminary studies (feasibility study),
documentations, licenses, materials, manpower, etc.
The project budget gives a detailed statement of all the direct and overhead costs
required to carry out the project goals and objectives.
You should mention how the required budget will be arranged. Indicate the funding
sources especially if external funding is available. Note that external funding may restrict
the project with specific requirements that needs to be addressed and accounted for.
3.
Results
In this section, you should demonstrate the outcomes achieved in your project, evaluate,
interpret, and explain the achieved results. Also, any questions raised while discussing
the concept of the project should be answered in this section.
4.
Conclusions
In this section, you have to critically justify and evaluate your project in a constructive
manner and discuss what needs to be done in this regard. You have to evaluate
(technically / economically) the possibility of projects’ implementation and how it benefits
our society.
5
4.1. Recommendations
In this section, you should propose any further steps that need to be taken into account
to enhance the implementation of the project and to recommend further improvement of
the project. For example, how to minimize the cost of the project and how to overcome
obstacles encountered during the different stages of the project. Moreover, the author(s)
of the project proposal shall propose titles of projects proposals that could be subject for
further research.
Other Important Information about the Project
This could contain any information that the author(s) of the project see as important
information to be mentioned or any information that was not included in any of the
previous sections of this proposal. This section should be deleted if you do not use it in
your project proposal.

Acknowledgement
I have taken efforts in writing this project proposal scheme. However, it would not have
been possible without the kind support of the Dean of Faculty of Engineering
Prof. Kasim Al-Aubaidy and the enthusiasm of the Projects and Laboratories
Committee. Also, I'm especially thankful to (Dr. Mones Al Omari) for his contribution
in reviewing the text contents.
Once again, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of them.
